According to the report of the Communication and International Affairs Department of Bandar Abbas Municipality, in this meeting Mehdi Nobani pointed to the long-lasting relationships between Iran and India and Indian presence in Bandar Abbas for many decades.

India migration and travels to Iran dates back to many years ago. The presence of Hindu Temple is an evidence for these claims.

It is worth mentioning that, this meeting was the first visit with Kaushik Sengupta, the new consul of India in Bandar Abbas, that in it two parties emphasized on expanding friendship relationship between two countries.
