Bandar Abbas, A city on the path of development and progress
The cordial meeting of the mayor of Bandar Abbas and the head of the Islamic city council with the ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Iran was held in the Bandar Abbas Mayor’s office.
According to the communication and International affairs Department of Bandar Abbas Municipality, Cong Peiwu, the ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in our country, along with Mr. Li Huiyi, the first secretory, and Xu Wenchuan, the embassy attache, Xu Wei, the Consul general of the Chinese Consulate in Bandar Abbas and Hu Haishu the Consulate attache, presented in the mayor’s office and had a cordial meeting with Mehdi Nobani, the Mayor of Bandar Abbas and Issa Abbasi, the head of Islamic city council.
In this meeting, Mehdi Nobani, the mayor of Bandar Abbas, while welcoming the guests and thanking them for their presence, pointed out the Supreme Leader’s emphasis on expanding relations with China and thanked for the services provided in the construction of housing in Bandar Abbas city by Chinese companies.
Nobani added: The Islamic city council and the municipality of Bandar Abbas have cordial and friendly relations with the consulate general of the people’s republic of China in Bandar Abbas and are ready to cooperate about investment opportunities, especially in the infrastructure and development of the city.
In his speech, Nobani, referring to the measures taken regarding the sisterhood relationship with the Chinese Port city of Ningbo, considered it as a positive step for the beginning of cooperation between the Commonwealth of Nations.
Referring to the meeting of the president of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jipping with Masoud Pezeshkian, the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in the last October, and according to the agreement between the two sides for expanding the relationships between the two countries, Cong Peiwu, Chinese Ambassador, considered it a turning point for friendly relationships between the two countries and by referring to the historical relations between the two countries and considering the establishment of the Consulate General of the people’s republic of China in Bandar Abbas and the port location of the city, it is an additional advantage compared to the other cities in Iran to development the economic and commercial relations of the commonwealth of Bandar Abbas and the port cities of China.
Cong Peiwu, in his speech, asked the mayor and the head of the Islamic city council to consult with the relevant officials to provide the possibility of issuing visa at the consulate general of the People’s Republic of China in Bandar Abbas, to facilitate the travel of those interested, businessmen and travelers, and a Positive step for expanding communication and there is no need to go to Tehran and wait for a visa to be issued.
Shu Wei, the Consul General of the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Bandar Abbas, in this meeting, appreciated the sincere communication and good cooperation of the Islamic City Council of the City and the Bandar Abbas Municipality with the Consulate General during the two years that have passed since the Consulate General commenced operation in the city, and added: Providing more services for the citizens of Bandar Abbas, and if the officials help to set up a visa center, it will be a great help to those interested and businessmen to travel to China and the Communication between the two sides.
Issa Abbasi, the head of the city Islamic council, while welcoming the guests, asked the guests to expand the cooperation between the Commonwealth of Nations and the two sides and added: if Chinese investors are interested in investing in the infrastructure and development of Bandar Abbas, we are ready to cooperate and will support these investors.
At the end of the meeting, Cong Peiwu, sincerely thanked the Mayor and the head of the Islamic council of the city for holding this meeting and said: the publicity and awareness can be very effective in expanding friendly relations between the people of the two nations.
