The mayor of Bandar Abbas met and talked with Mohammad Reza Eskandari, the representative of the Ministry of Foreign affairs of Iran, the consul of India, the consul of Kazakhstan, and the consul of People^’s Republic of China in Norouz and Ramadan ceremony held by the cooperation of Communication and International affairs Department of Bandar Abbas municipality.

According to the report of Communication and International Affairs Department of Bandar Abbas Municipality, in this friendly two-hour meeting, the mayor welcomed the meeting guest and then emphasized the importance of expanding of communication between Bandar Abbas and other world cities especially cities of guest countries.

Mehdi Nobani added: Bandar abbas is a city with various cultures, rich customs, and delicious foods and it is a dynamic metropolis in trade, commerce, and seafaring with developing industry. Therefore, this town should be an ideal and attractive place for life in Persian Gulf region regarding urban development.

The Mayor while announcing the readiness of the municipality for sister-city relationship with other similar cities in guest countries in this meeting, said: exchanging knowledge, sharing and learning experiences and investing in different fields, especially marine tourism and exchanging experiences in the fields of infrastructures and urban development, introducing cultures, customs and local arts of different areas is very important to us and we hope that we could achieve positive results with your cooperation.     

Nobani stated: Bandar Abbas is a creative city in the field of handicrafts and local games and in this regard we have constructed handicrafts permanent market in Velayat Park and we hope that we could take effective steps in the field of handicrafts through positive communication with dynamic world cities.

At the end of this ceremony and friendly meeting, the consuls of the guest countries including Republic of India, People^’s Republic of China and Republic of Kazakhstan thanked the mayor of Bandar Abbas and expressed their satisfaction about their attendance in Bandar Abbas city and their readiness for strengthen communication and cooperation with Bandar Abbas Municipality.

In the end, the mayor of Bandar Abbas thanked the representatives of guest countries for accepting his invitation and attending this meeting.
